The reason I would like to see this match between the Broncos versus the Panthers would be due to the fact that the Panthers are led by quarterback Cam Newton who does these end zone dances that tick off fans of his opponents. Not to mention that Newton is a ESPN darling. Woo woo.
On the other side of the coin the reason I would like to see the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 would be due to the fact that the Broncos are led by Peyton Manning who is also an ESPN darling.
Manning has won one Super Bowl when he was a member of the Indianapolis Colts. This could be his final year playing in the National Football League.
If I were a pro wrestling promoter I could see Manning passing the torch to Newton as the new star quarterback of the National Football League at the end of this Super Bowl.
But since real life is not scripted, the New England Patriots who will be competing in the AFC Championship Game versus Denver next Sunday in Denver want to return to the Super Bowl again.
The Arizona Cardinals who will be competing against the Carolina Panthers also want to return to the Super Bowl to try to win their first Vince Lombardi Trophy in the history of their franchise.
It remains to be seen which two teams will represent their respective conferences in Super Bowl 50 which be played on February 7. 2016 in Santa Clara California.
Oh by the way I just love how ESPN reporter Stephen A Smith thinks he is the second coming of detective Dick Tracy with his suspicions that the Academy Awards snubbed Will Smith for an Oscar for his movie "Concussion" that exposed the National Football League dark secret of their former football players dying young to head injuries. Well Stephen where is smoke, there is fire. Did you remember the song sung by the late Jim Croce "You Don't Mess Around With Jim." when you do not tug on Superman's cape? I just can see CBS and all of the sports networks hyping this football game as the greatest show a man landed on the moon. Have fun kiddies watching the conference finals this Sunday. I have a date with the Lexicon Express on Sunday. Lexicon Express is the nickname for Word Girl the PBS Kids cartoon that ran from 2006-2015.
